We are pleased to announce that Asia Journalism Fellowship (AJF) 2025 is now open for application. AJF 2025 will run for eight weeks from 8 September 2025 to 31 October 2025. The first four weeks will be conducted online, with the next four weeks, in Singapore.

Deadline for application
The application deadline is Friday, 18 July 2025 (deadline has been extended). All application materials including reference letters must be received by then.
Detailed Instructions
The selection process for the Fellowship is extremely competitive, so it is important that you send in all the required information we need. Please follow the instructions carefully.
Your application is not complete until we receive all the following:
i. Completed Application Form. (Download Application Form)
ii. Completed NUS Personal Data Protection Act Form.
iii. If you are currently employed, you will need to include your employer’s letter of support certifying that you will be permitted to attend the programme online for four weeks, and will also be released from work for four weeks to travel to Singapore. Online activities will be held at least twice a week on weekdays, for up to three hours. [This letter is not required for freelancers.] (Download Sample Letter)
iv. Three letters of recommendation. (Download Instructions for Referees) Please choose your referees carefully. They should be individuals who know your work well and can write about you independently.
v. Three to five samples of past work.
vi. A short video clip (1-3 mins)
vii. Copies of highest educational certificate(s), with certified translations if not in English.

Selection Process
Our selection panel comprising mainly senior journalists and academics will review all applications and choose the 2025 Fellows.
