
Programme Coordinator
Harkiran is a Research Assistant in the Society and Governance department at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS). She holds a Bachelor in Social Science from Singapore Management University. Her research focuses on the social and policy impacts of digital media and the internet, covering topics such as digital literacy, online safety, and artificial intelligence.
At IPS, she has conducted research on Singaporeans’ perceptions of online harms using a mixed-methods approach. She has also developed a “Unified AI Literacy Framework for Singapore” that is designed to support policy development, programme design, and coordination across education, workforce development, and community contexts.
